Welcome to Infinite Playlist. I'll just go straight to the point of this post.
Tomorrow, December 1st is World AIDS Day. I will not be rambling here, you can check out about world AIDS day on this website. This year the tagline this year is respect&protect, and the main objective is to end HIV prejudice. Anyway you can read for yourself, so go to that website.
I am going to wear a red ribbon tomorrow of course, but let me just ramble on a bit about something related. I think most of you know there is something called PRODUCT(RED). Basically many big companies like Apple, Starbucks, Gap and Hallmark have special products that are usually red in color. The cost the same amount of money as their counterparts, but a fraction of the profits go to helping HIV patients in Africa, focusing more on woman and children. The money goes directly to the fund to help these people, but you pay no more to get the stuff you need. So when you're giving a gift card, getting your daily fix of coffee or considering getting an iPod for youself, choose (RED) products. They have a diverse row of products, including Gap and Emporio Armani clothes, Converse shoes, Dell and Windows computer products, Apple iPods and iTunes gift cards, Hallmark cards, Starbucks coffee and American Express credit cards.
Shopping not your thing? If you're a music fanatic, (RED)WIRE will surely attract your attention. It is a weekly electronic music magazine that will future artistes like Bob Dylan and Death Cab for Cutie. It will be available from tomorrow onwards. Half the money you pay for (RED)WIRE will also go to fund the two pills these AIDS patients need everyday. Five people subscribing to (RED)WIRE will be able to fund one AIDS patient for one month.
So support PRODUCT(RED), (RED)WIRE and World AIDS Day. End HIV prejudice =]
And oh, remember your red ribbons! <33
