EOY Party & Ms Tan's Farewell

Hey guys, by the way, there's a newly published post before the post about NaNoWriMo. And the Exit Doors are updated.

And more importantly, I have completed updating my Sarawak pictures. You can now find them and check them out here.

Okay, on with the EOY Party.

It was... good and bad, to put it simply.

And I took pictures from my phone and with Ms Poon's camera. In the morning, it had rained, so we went to the hall to assemble and I was pretty glad to see some people with big bags of food and drinks. And gladder to find that Fan Jin and Le Win brought the "sponsored" cutlery. After assembly, we didn't go back to class. Instead, we stayed where we were and we received a song sheet where all the songs we would be singing to Ms Tan were. We were supposed to have dri-runs, and the real thing where we have to line up in the school (from the pick-up point, the line stretched all the way to the last P1-P2 classes) and then go to the hall for a big function the school planned for her and her sisters were coming, and a lottt of other stuff.

So obviously, a lot of people were wondering, 'So when the hell are we having the party??'

Me and Heng Hwee went to Mdm Lim in the middle (there wasn't a single form teacher of any of the classes around!!) and asked her if we had any time for the party and thank God, we did have time. And we were afraid it might less than an hour but turns out that we had plentyy of time. 8.30 or 8.50 till 10.15am (max.)

'Cos we had to assemble at the canteen at 10.15am for the surprise entry thing (but anyway, the party ended early, we all went up to class anyway).

So we all brought our food together and there were just SOO many packets of potato chips! Ruffles, Lays, Pringles, you name it, we got... HAD it. I now regret that I told everyone that chips are discouraged. I should have said, "NO! THIS SHALL AND WILL BE A CHIP-FREE PARTY AND YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE FOR BRINGING A PACKET SINCE YOU ARE INFORMED, YOUNG LADY~!"

But no, I said, "It's better if you don't."

Seriously, I underestimated the number of packets of potato chips we would have. (In the end, we still have about 2 big bags of leftover chips {almost wrote hips})

We placed everything right in the middle of the canteen and everyone (in PQR) was crowding around two tables and after taking their food, they more or less just stayed there so there was a really big crowd. We were unmissable.

Take a look at the wonderful food!

They're all digging in! And the drinks!

Anyway, the party was a success but... too much of a success? It ended pretty early and all the main foodstuffs were gone in a jiffy.

Here's the situation of a Coke bottle when it's just 5 minutes in...

Yes, it was almost empty. Actually, there was a significant amount of drinks but they all were drank dry pretty fast!
Wahh. Having a good time eating, horh, they all? Whoa. Just LOOK at the Pringles the girl on the right took, lol! Yeah... after pretty much settling everything down, me and Heng Hwee went to the staff room to invite some teachers. Oh, and we dragged Athira and Leanne along. Anyway, we caught hold of Ms Tang and I was whispering to her about a "secret mission" which was "secret secret" (quoting myself) and of which she "kenot tell anyone". Yeah, and I was obviously flinging my arms around a lot and stuff and narrowly missed hitting Athira on her face. I didn't even realise I almost hit her until I saw Leanne and Athira laughing about it. Yeah, well, anyway, Ms Tang went around and miserably got Mrs Sng only. =(

But in the end, Mrs Chin, Mr Tan, Ms Lui, Ms Lim also turned up! Wait, no, Mr Tan didn't turn up. He was just eating his food at a nearby table. Right. Okay whatever. {Ugh. It's 4.15AM already...}

Here's MORE pictures. Oh and by the way, I bought this thing for the party. My mum made 57 of them from midnight to 3AM...

Doesn't it look like it's floating?
Eat, drink me!
Miss Tang! But posing for another camera
Mrs Sng. She scares me. That's all I have to say.
Ms Lim. Skipping meals, hard at work, signing YOUR yearbooks. =.="
(Mrs) Chin and chips! =))
DISCO DANCING! LOL, NO, it's just that there was some hawt pink thing thang thong thang on the fan above her so she was pointing it our to everyone. Marcia stares at it in delight.
I can imagine her squealing in delight.
Tan Rong, Wen Xin, Michelle!
JACLYN YAY~!
When I came down from the staff room, the food was dwindling. And so were the 'party goers'. They all kinda had their fill and went up to class. The only people left in the end were the people who were using the teachers' presence to their advantage and screaming 'SIGN MY YEARBOOK' in everyone's ear, and the responsible people like Yi En and Le Win (no offence if I didn't mention ya?) who helped clean up the mess.
A bit more pictures...
Help me decide: Mess or Mass??
A picture of most of the leftovers in the end. What a waste, right? Anyway, then was Ms Tan's surprise farewell party. We all lined up and then she came in her car (I don't think she was driving) and then she walked through the passageway of pupils till the end of the long line and we were all holding up big cards with phrases on them like, "WE ♥ YOU!" (oh, the gayness), "Happy Retirement!", "Best Wishes!", "We'll Miss You!" and stuff like that. Then we went up to the hall where we started singing the songs, and then there was a dance item and then the seniors came too and there were more songs, loads of speeches, hugs and SCREAMS from the 'audience'. It was really quite sweet. In the end, Ms Tan gave us an impromptu speech and it was apparent that she was very touched.
The word of that day was 'pon' 'cos people were wondering whether to pon school the next day (speech day - prize-giving, so it's basically clapping the whole day till your hands are bruised). Well, whatever, so {WTH ALMOST 5AM NOW I NEED TO WAKE UP AT 8AM LEHH TO WATCH AMAZING RACE} during dismissal, it was raining and Sabrina, being head-over-heels with Scrabble, persuaded Athira, Jaclyn and I to stay back and play Scrabble in the Library until the rain stops. Oh, and we also had to go to the library to take down our SL's group's drawings. We gave it all to Sabrina! She really wanted them! OH, OH, AND THEY GAVE ME ALL THE BLU-TACK! Like, omg, how rocky lor!!~!!~!! Yes, I like Blu-Tack. It's niice. 'Cos I love to stretch it, yeah! Anyway, the game was really funny 'cos I happened to have letters 'R', 'P', 'O' and 'N' and later in the game 'S', 'X', 'E' also and I was serious about putting gender down and then Athira was like, "Ughh!! Sabrina! Don't listen to her! Use that 'S'!"
"NO! DON'T YOU DARE USE MY ASS 'S' SABRINA!!"
Oh and then Sabrina was like (after an awful long while), "She means 'gender', anyway"
"Yeah. I hope so. I really hope so."
=P But oh well. And Sabrina, at one point, had 5 'I's (FIVE EYES~!) and was very unlucky with her consonants. Jaclyn and I, on the other hand, were really unlucky with our vowels. In the end, we were trading letters with each other. =D Yay us!
Then we finally head to our bus stops and found out that Athira was the one who brought the delicious brownies and then we made her take them out and then Sabrina took one and I took FOUR AT A GO and then Sabrina was like, "OHEMGEE YOU GREEDY PIG YOU JUST TOOK FOUR..." and everyone was laughing. And then Sabrina took one more. And then another. And I started calling her SUPER GREEDY 'cos she took THREE TIMES but I took only ONE TIME. Then finally Jaclyn also took one or two. Sadly, Athira was crossing the road and Sabrina and I weren't... but oh well. They are realllyyyy niiceee. Go Athira momma!
LOL OKOK I POST ABOUT MY OTHER DAYS LATER {sigh, the theme of randomness of the blog is disappearing} I WANNA GO SLEEP NOW.
GOODNIGHT.

Quote of the post:
Athira explained that the brownies had nuts.
Sabrina: "Oh, I'm okay with eating nuts. I LOVE NUTS!"
HOMG.
