"Shut up!" - The Analysis (Part Two)

Again, here we are, with the second part of the Analysis of the phrase "Shut up!". In this installment, we are going to look at some all most of the songs with 'shut up' in their titles. At first, all I could think of were 4 particular songs but upon some researching, I realised that there were probably more than 30-40 such songs or something! Anyway, here are about 10 songs with 'shut up' in their titles.

1. Shut Up and Bounce
This song is from a Hindi movie 'Dostana', which means 'Friendship' in English. The girl you see in the video is just an item girl in the movie but the two men are the main characters. Too bad the video's quality is so horrible but I wanted to show you all the full version of the song and the 'official' video, as seen as in the movie. The movie is about this two guy who have to act gay so that they are allowed to stay in the same apartment as this aunty's niece, with whom they eventually fall in love with. It's a hilarious movie and NC16. I watched it online recently and still can't figure out with it's NC16. By the way, you might have seen the girl in the news about a Big Brother scandal, where she was a victim of racism. She won that season! Anyway, here's the video:

2. Shut Up and Sleep With Me
By Sin With Sebastian (SWS). Viewer discretion is advised. This is a super addictive song.

3. Shut Up and Drive
By Rihanna. I don't like the song, personally speaking.

4. Shut Up and Let Me Go
By The Ting Tings. You may get a bit dizzy by the video.

5. Shut Up
By Simple Plan. I really like the video and the song! The video more, though.

6. Shut Up
By Black Eyed Peas. The song is very catchy and yes, I do like it.

7. Shut Up
By LaFee. The song is pretty nice but forgettable, except the chorus. Again, viewer discretion is advised because of coarse language.

8. Shut Up
By Cascada. I think. There was a comment that it was by SpringBreak, but ah well. The song's chorus is a bit catchy, you may catch yourself head banging. However, I won't consider it to be a fantastic song or anything.

9. Shut Up
By Kelly Osbourne. I seriously dislike the song because its such a teen-angsty-wannabe song. Anyway, the singer looks too old for these kind of songs. She says that she didn't ask for any advice but you have to admit, she does look a bit pregnant in the beginning.

10. Shut Up and Smile
By Bowling For Soup. A pretty stupid song but it's cute, especially the ice-cream and hug part.

11. Shut Up... And Forget About It
By Dane Bowers. Overall, the song has a very Backstreet Boys kind of style - video and song. Unfortunately, embedding is disable so go to the site itself by clicking on the hyperlink above. Check it out.

While spending like, 3 hours on this project, I have also come across some plain stupid songs like this. It's named 'Shutup' (no surprise) and it's sung by Trick Daddy. The line which has this phrase, which is also the chorus, goes like, "Shutup. Uh-huh. Okay. What's up? Shutup. Uh-huh. Okay. What's up?..." and so on. Like, whaat?? Ugh. There is also another song named 'Shut Up' by Madness which doesn't even mention the phrase throughout the whole song. It's a rather wacky song.

Anyway, we're now at the end of this Analysis of the over-used and mis-used favourite, "Shut up".

Thank Goodness.
