hello.
I missed classes on Friday- THE WHOLE DAY- because of this Maths Enrichment Day thing.
First we did the usual ice-breaking things, then we split into two and started doing group-y things. Like flags and cheers. Each group had 15 people and my group was Archimedes, same as Amelia. I chose to design the flag. It was a bit of a joke, really. At first we wanted a bathtub. But nooo- we just had to put a rubber duck! In the end it was Eureka in block letters (courtesy of Amelia) over Archimedes in cursive script (mine!) and spheres in cylinders.
By the time the flag was done it was tea-break time: yay!
There were sandwiches and samosas.
The groups were split into two- even-numbered groups (like mine) did the maths quiz first.
Maths quiz. Suuper tough for me, but I think not for those clever people out there. I managed to solve a grand total of ONE question!
And another maths quiz with - this time with a buzzer. I never managed to even solve one before other groups answered. Anyway.
Then lunch: nasi lemak (not the fugitive.) and 1 soggy spring roll and 1 tough satay. The nasi lemak rice was nice but fish soft and soggy. bleah.
Le Win ate a lot of chilli with her rice.
After that there were mind games like Sudoku, Soma cubes, Izzi and TOWER OF HANOI. so fun~.
yay and a second teabreak. This time there was leftover nasi lemak but also some curry puff-like pastry things filled with pineapple and choccy eclairs.
After that it was the cheer competition. Don't ask me about my cheer! -_- But I did count 3 groups using '...best,
And then evaluation forms.
The next day I went for Strings Ensemble practice and, after running to class, that I only had the chinese mock paper. There was no homework under my table!
I'd like to give a big thank you to Janelle, who scanned in the homework! Thank you!
