Grad Day (Part 1)

Graduation Day was on 8 November 2008. The Primary Sixes of RGPS graduated then.

(But we still attended school the next week, strangely enough.)

Anyway, about 29 or 30 October, Aaheli asked me if I wanted to join her in some dance for the Graduation Party and I agreed, thinking, "Not like I have much to lose and anything to do nowadays." Then there was Aaheli's birthday party that Friday and Aaheli's mum decided to have the dance with only Aaheli and I, when the judges recommended 5 to 6 people. But she insisted, so yeah. She even talked to Mrs Sng about it. Anyway, it's just that the time we had left wasn't a lot... at all, so we had to meet everyday to practice. It's a pretty stupid dance with stupid dance moves which is why I felt SOOOO awkward when I practicing. Trust me, she was no help in encouraging me or anything. =P

Anyway, we met up everyday except Wednesday, as I was absent. Yeah, most of the time, we would go together from school and Aaheli's Dad would drop us whenever going to Aaheli's house. Well, whatever. Thing is, I was asking some people about the dance and I got mostly negative comments about it and that people were laughing when Aaheli was doing it. So I was really freaked out by that and eventually regretted agreeing to join. =P What can I do? I can't help such feelings! Moreover, the clothes picked out were soo glamorous and shingy shiny that it makes matters a bit worse 'cos it's a bit embarrassing, yeah? But oh well. Let's talk about the day itself.

Everyone came to school in school uniform and they had either medium-sized bags or super huge bags, like me, 'cos I was performing. All of us were attending the Graduation Party which was after the formal ceremony and thankfully, no one stayed in their uniform and everyone brought their own clothes. Anyway, we waited and assembled in class for the teacher to pick us up. For some reason, all the 6Qers were in 6P so 6Q was absolutely empty and obviously, 6R was to themselves. It's like that every year. 6R was the outsider class in all the three years, no offence, but it's true. Even where the classes are located proves my point. In the first two years, R was away from P&Q. But this year, we were all together but there still is some sort of invisible division between us. Oh, and they're all nerds and geeks. Ugh.

Anyway, we were seated in the hall by 9am. Unbelievably, some pupils came at 9am. We were supposed to assemble at 8.15am and Janelle heard 8.50am! And Sristi overslept. Thank Goodness for them, they still get to take their certificates and everything. There was a bit of a commotion persuading them to tell the teachers they were there, since the teachers took their certs out of the stack, thinking they were absent and everything. Eventually everything worked out so no sweat. Anyway, it just went soooo slowly! I mean, 40 pupils of 6A, then another big batch of 6B and so on and so forth. Finally, after 11 clases and 18 pupils, it was my turn. I actually told Tamisha and Tze En and Janelle that I would skip the first step to the principal. I did, but it was unnoticable.

So they were calling me a liar! Can you believe them?! =O

I mean, Sristi went up and while she was walking to the principal, I went up one step onto the stage and then I did a little skip, which hopefully no one noticed. I guess I was right, I mean, even the person behind me didn't notice. Hint hint, Tamisha.

Anyway, I posed for my picture and the darned photographer took the shot so fast that the picture turned out to be in the middle of my pose so I look dang horrible. Nevermind. After an inspirational speech a few inspirational speeches a lot of speeches, some which unfortunately bored us to death, and some which were pretty inspirational, we were dismissed back to class. Then everyone started stripping changing into their party clothes. I was a bit torn, though, about what to wear. Since I was performing, I didn't know if I should wear my party clothes already or just wear part of my costume (which is jeans and a t-shirt so it's not too odd) and in the end, I just wore my costume thing. I felt a bit uncomfortable 'cos both items were black and I like colour-contrasting stuff. =| So I frolicking around, screaming, "THESE ARE NOT MY PARTY CLOTHES!" No, neither do I know what had gotten into me then.

So anyway, Sabrina, Tamisha, Jaclyn, Leanne!, Jia Wen and I went to McDonalds at Serene Centre, yes, again! But this time we took a bus, yay us, HOMG FREAKING RHYMES. LOL. So anyway, before that Sabrina was talking to Ka Ying and she found out where we were going so she joined us while we were walking from the bus stop. We didn't exactly invite her but oh well.

Okay guys, I think I'll stop here. Now, it's almost time for me to go to the airport and I am SO sorry I haven't been able to write ANY more posts SORRY~~

Oh and newsflash I have hit the 45kg mark! Woohoo! I gained a kg in half a day! =DD
