My week in Hyderabad..

~Lalas.

DAY 0

We went to the airport at around 5.30pm, exactly. Partly because I forgot to pack my essentials like hairbrush and extra hairband and only remembered last minute. Ahem ahem. :D

I had dinner at Burger King, with my parents, Yan Tong, and Miss Lui and Mr Teo, becuase my motther wanted to talk to Miss Lui about something, and Yan Tong's parents had to go off. Yeah. Yan Tong was full because she had already eaten her dinner, and Mr Teo was like, 'since you're not eating anything, you can have my fries, I can't finish them', and then Yan Tong was going on about how full she was. Miss Lui only bought a drink, so she was like, 'Tell you what, Yan Tong, I'll help you finish.' Having said that, she promptly popped a few fries into her mouth. :D

Halfway through the meal, the VP came. Freakyyyyyy..... Anyway, she chatted with my mother mostly, so no problems for me anyway.

When both Yan Tong and I were like, super full, there were a few fries left on the table, and we were telling each other that it wouldn't kill the other to have just one more fry, because none of us could finish. Finally, there was just one last fry one the table, and both of us just looked at it. Miss Lui saw us and was all, 'Just one little tiny fry and you can't finish?' Then she picked it up, and ate it slowly. Then she went, 'There. Finished.' :D I loved that.

On the plane, we already were given pre-booked seats. Yeah. I watched 881 on the plane, then settled down to daydream while listening to Kelly Clarkson. By then a lot of people had already slept. I'm surprised I didn't. A few people were reading, some were doing their journal.

Got off at the Hyderabad airport. Jolene's bag came out seriously late, and all of us were wondering if something had happened to it. It turned out later on, so no worries.

It was so tiring. We got on the bus, which was a bit tiny, had slightly more than a few very slow and very big mosquitoes, but was otherwise okay. Jolene fell asleep in the bus, and so did a few others.

Got to the apartment, Six Seventy Five Service Apartments. Ours was just on the first floor, after the ground floor. Convenient, because the lift only takes 3 people at a time. *shiver* Yeah. So all of us walked up, and were leaning on each other. One group, Jolene, Aini, Gaya, Vidh A and I, were in one apartment, which had 3 rooms. We took one room, Mrs Tanabal one, Mr Teo one. Then the other two groups, Yan Tong, Beverley, Tze En, Michelle, Marcia, Chin Siew, Rhaudha, Natasha, Sasha and Sathiatook one room for each five people, (except Michelle, because she shared with Miss Lui) and Miss Lui and Michelle took one room.

Then, we went to our bedrooms, to so-called 'sleep'. For some reason, even though Jolene, Aini, Gaya and Vidhi A were all drop-dead tired on the bus ride, they were all super-active during lights-off. It was so noisy, Mr Teo had to come in twice to remind us that it was lights-off, and no talking if you please. Hehes.

DAY 1

Jolene woke me up, at about 6am Hyderabad time. (8.30am for you all) She said that Gaya had woken up to her snoring, because we all woke up to Gaya's alarm then went back to sleep. Jolene, Gaya, Aini, me, and Vidhi bathed, in that order. Gaya took so long to bathe, Aini was complaining. Hehs. After that, we had breakfast on the rooftop. There was bread with jam and (this is interesting.) butter, which was really oil+melted butter, which was cool, and cornflakes, and most of all, egg omelette. The last was devoured by everyone because it was so nice!! After that we had coffee, refilled our bottles, and we left for NASR school for our 'games'.

NASR was nice. Sort of. It's a full school, with kindergarten, primary, and secondary. Except they don't call them that. It's Class 1 through Class 12, and they use Roman lettering, like for Class 1A, it's Class IA instead. and for Class 12D, it's class XIID instead. (I think it is anyway. My Roman lettering is horribilis. They have a 'function room' thingy, which is like our AVA room, except that it's just a room, that's all. Oh, and their hall is tiny. Only fits one level, max. So they normally use their courtyard, or I-dunno-what-term-to-use, because they have two outdoor 'stages'. Both very big, and bigger than their hall-stage.

We boarded the bus after our games (we used the same bus throughout the trip!) and went to Birla Complex, for our lunch. We had a burger, a slice of pizza, and fries. Yan Tong took one look at the fries, and gave all of them to someone, I think it was Marcia. Hehes. She still remembered the day before.

We went back to school to practice the performance, and then after that I think we went to the something Planetarium, after taking a tour of all the CCAs in the school. We watched something like the Omni-Theatre shows, except that it's a lie-down thing, and sometimes you have to crane your neck to see what they're showing above you. It actually was kinda boring for me.. I fell asleep. Ahem ahem. The chairs were less comfortable than the Omni-Theatre ones, but the position!! I just had to sleep. Next was Birla Temple. The view was beautiful there. Miss Lui was saying it was like we went to Birla Temple for the view, it was so nice!

We went back to the apartment for dinner after that, and then it was Nightly Reflections, then we had lights-out. Again, it was havoc in the room. Then suddenly, Gaya was like, 'Okay, you all stop your discussion first, because I need to go toilet.' and we all couldn't stop laughing. She took a seriously long time, and Jolene was like, 'Does Gaya have constipation or something?' When she came out of the toilet, Aini, who was sleeping right next to the toilet door, said 'Gaya.. did you have constipation in there?' so Gaya was like, 'Aini, shut up lah you. Go and die can?', and Aini said, 'Why not go and live, then die?'.

DAY 2

In the morning, I was the only person that woke up to the alarm. I woke up, shut off Gaya's alarm, and crawled back to sleep, because I told Jolene to go and bathe, heard a grunt for her general direction, so I dived back under the covers. Gaya set her alarm to 4.30am Hyderabad time!! So anyway, Jolene later wooke me up, and told me that she had woken up to my snoring this time around, and the next day I'd have to wake up to Aini's snoring. Anyway, all of us were rushing, and we finished on time after all.

Breakfast on the rooftop again, nothing much changed, except a few more jokes.

We went to NASR to attend their lessons. Their classrooms are so tiny........ They kinda sit on benches instead of individual tables, because it's three to a bench and very squeezy, and it's practically a no-space. And there was graffiti on the tables. Lots. But it was really pretty okay, when you see it with your own eyes. So.. Yeah. Just one more thing. They have a black board instead of a white board. And their lessons are only one period. Sigh..

Um.. we had lunch at NASR. They didn't have a canteen, just a snacks stall, so we didn't buy food from there. They bring their own snacks from home. No, we ate in the function room, where there was ordered pizza for us!! Bliss. You know those little round plastic tables they stick in the pizza? We had so many of them, we built a 'tower of tables' that was seriously high, that we had to stand up to continue building. Plus it was super fragile! Lots of photos were taken of it.

--STOPPED HERE BECAUSE THE AUTHOR WANTS TO GO TO BED EVEN THOUGH HER INTERNAL CLOCK HAS NOT ADJUSTED YET AND IT IS ONLY ABOUT 7.30PM HYDERABAD TIME, AND ALSO BECAUSE SHE WANTS TO STOP--

~Lalas. Hehe. So anyway, I'll do a continuation tomorrow when I have the time.
