So, hello! Just FYI, I've become an author of this blog, like I won't want to. So for my first post, I'll do a complete and detailed analysation of CCAs, so people who haven't chosen CCAs can use this as a refrence. Thought it might be useful. =)
Sports: I haven't really gone into sports, but I know a fair deal about most of them. To be honest, I've watched sports matches but I dunno how to play all of them.
Badminton: From what I have heard, Badminton is one of the fairly fun CCAs, but join only if you are good at hitting an overly-light shuttle cock. If you're like me, who can't survive a single game without broken wrists and sweat pouring down on your face, please don't join. You'll have your hands bandaged while doing your PSLE paper. This is my 6th choice, my Dad forced me.
Basketball: I don't think much about basketball, sorry Leanne! She was envying me for having a basketball court right under my block, but the truth is I never went there. I just find basketball... rough and boring. That's my opinion. The last time I tried playing basketball, Sabrina's ball poked my spectacles into my eye. Ouch.
Netball: Sorry, Hh, but I don't like Netball. Never really got the hang of it, and I find it harder than basketball. If I get my eye poked playing basketball, my eye will be out playing netball.
Softball: If you don't know what softball is, it's sort of like baseball. You use the bat to hit the ball and someone catches it with a glove; you have to run bases, etc. I would rather not join it, it sounds too... scary. From Marcia: "Blegh. Train until you sweat like siao and dirty. Very dirty. Mud. Dirt. Play in the rain, etc. But it's boring, same thing every lesson."
Table-Tennis: I sort of liked Table-Tennis when I was much younger and innocent (like real) but I hated it after I saw my first Table-Tennis match. Like all other ball games, it requires tedious concentration, and more exhausting than badminton simply because the bat is tiny. I don't know what you think, but I find it awfully tedious.
Tennis: Another tedious game, which I dunno how to play. I find it almost as violent as basketball, if I played that game it will probably kill me, a tennis ball is horribly hard and heavy.
Bowling: I find bowling quite okay, but it requires a lot of skill and supportive (and rich) parents. Why? Because it is horribly expensive. Around $350 a month, it was rumoured. If my Mum heard that she's gonna strangle me, at least I think so. So I'm putting it as 5th choice, I think that will minimise my chance of an early death.
Gymnastics: *chokes* If you observe me very carefully, I almost never sit with my legs crossed. I always hug my knees. Why? Because it hurts. A lot. My bones are horribly inflexible, which is a very unfortunate disadvantage during sit and reach (NAPFA). If you can sit cross-legged, you may consider it, but me, no. I will never, ever put gymnastics as any of my choices, it will probably kill me faster than cyanide.
Swimming: I absolutely love being in the swimming pool, however bad my swimming is. However, swimming CCA is horribly uncomfortable. You have to wear your pinafore over your horrendously wet swimming costume, I don't fancy that.
This is my version of the sports, however biased it might be.
Clubs/Uniformed Groups: This one is my speciality, I've been in two clubs.
Art and Craft: Aha. I've joined Art Club before, and it's boring. You either 1) Make a mess of yourself by friutless attempts at painting 2) Get yelled by your Mum for stealing needles when you so desperately need it to sew 3) Do paintings for Miss Tan, which is not not not nice. That's Art Club in 2006, I dunno whether it changed for the better or worst. Be warned.
Computer Club, Computer Club (Robotics) and Life Sciences Club: I will skip since we can't join them.
Science Club: I heard that they get mountainpiles of homework and extra extra research, so no. However do consider it if you want to go to NUS High or want to be an extremely geeky Science nerd.
Fitness Club: This is my 4th choice, I've heard positive feedback on this one. It is fun and they do fun stuff, though the exact definition of this "fun" is unknown.
Chess Club: Cross this out on your list if you've been considering it. Firstly, Mdm Ng is terrible (or am I merely just scared of her?), and it is boring. Every session you learn chess tactics, and then play. Every now and then, the trainer says "I'll like to play with (insert name of extremely unfortunate person)." and checkmate her in two minutes. It is NOT pleasant.
Raffles Entrepreneurs Club: No, no, no and no again. If you want this, hello??? Use your common sense. Mdm Loe is in charge. If you don't understand, find some 6P or 6R people to hear real life accounts of how Mdm Loe tortures people.
Brownies: Reminds me of chocolate. Amyway, if I'm not wrong this is a sub-devision of Girl Guides. Motto: "Lend a Hand". It is still a bit Christian-ish though.
Girls Brigade: GB is a very Christian-ish uniformed group, and it's motto is "Seek, Serve and Follow Christ". Is there any need to say more? I like the uniform though, so I'm putting it as 3rd choice out of no choice. =P
This is relatively hard to choose for me, but I like my choices anyway.
Performing Arts: I abosutely love this section, out of no good reason. There isn't much to say, cos' it's pretty obvious already.
Choir: First choice, mainly because Yan Tong forced me to. I thought it might give me some first-hand experience on choirs, since I am the head of choir on a role playing site. It will look good on DSA, I'm sure becuase of the SYF.
Chinese Dance: No way. My poor bones. And the costumes are too shiny.
Indian Dance: I like watching, but no, it is a bit erm-ish.
Drama: Second choice, mainly because it is fun, and I like acting. (Yes I do, hope you're not too surprised.)
Violin: I don't fancy stringed instruments, sorry Hobee, and violin for CCA... you're asking too much from me. The notes will completely squash my poor little brain.
Concert Band: I am no good with instruments. I confess solemnly. I am rubbish at music.
Ballet: Nuuuu. My bones are gonna be tortured.
WARNING. PLEASE READ. If you choose the wrong CCA because of me, it is not my problem and I am not responsible for any direct insults to the CCA that you love.
By the way, I took this quiz at blogthings.com. Look at the advice for me.

I am very surprised. Maybe I should go and see a therapist.
